Hello Brookhaven Neighbors,

Welcome to Fall! I am grateful to announce the 3rd annual Pink Bow Campaign (https://thepinkbowcampaign.org/) for Breast Cancer Awareness in Brookhaven for the month of October! Please join me as we tie a pink bow onto our mailboxes as a reminder to everyone to get their mammogram and raise awareness for those affected by breast cancer, particularly the loss of our own neighbors.  For those that know me, you know that this is cause is personal as I will be celebrating 3 years of ending chemotherapy to battle breast cancer.

Pink Bow Campaign mission: Support underserved neighborhoods within our local communities to provide pink bows with breast health information and resources. 

Goals:

• Raise awareness to those who may not have access to breast health information.
• Encourage yearly mammograms.
• Spread the message that early detection saves lives.
• Offer additional local resources (financial assistance, support groups, medical options).

For a minimum donation of $10, we will tie a pink, beautiful bow onto your mailbox in recognition of all those affected by breast cancer while also raising funds to help eradicate this disease that can affect 1 in 8 women as well as men. I hope you will join me in creating awareness, beautifying our neighborhood and creating a “sea of pink bows” throughout Brookhaven while raising funds for this very important cause. Also, if anyone is interested in joining “Team Pink’’ to help create bows / tie bows on mailboxes from October 18th-21st, please contact me, it's a lot of fun!  You will also get credit for volunteer hours for Beta Club / School / Etc 😊

If you would like to participate in the Pink Bow Campaign and have a pink bow tied onto your mailbox, the details are as follows:

1. Make a check made payable to: The Pink Bow Campaign with a minimum donation of $10 and send / leave for to me at Toni Soccio 1016 Minden Dr.  Cash is accepted as well as Venmo(@toni-soccio) and/or Zelle/Paypal - my email is: [email protected] – please note your $$ are for the Pink Bow Campaign with your address!
2. Donations are also accepted at the Pink Bow Campaign website which is: www.thepinkbowcampaign.org and as long as you specify Brookhaven as your neighborhood (drop down at check out), I will automatically receive a notification with your address and I will know to put up your bow. The website will ask you which neighborhood you belong to and also asks for your address.
3. Be sure to include your home address in the memo with payment so I know where to tie the bow – ensure to remove by November 2nd.
4. Please feel free to send this email on to others who may also be interested in participating and once I receive their donation and address I will be happy to deliver their bow. Alternatively, if you prefer to provide for someone simply let me know their address.

We will begin tying bows onto mailboxes by September 27th and as needed throughout the month until November 2nd. THANK YOU for your support for such an important cause! Together we are making a difference!
